Mount Holly's annual Pumpkin Piddle Paddle at River Street Park: families drop off carved, undecorated soccer-ball-sized jack-o'-lanterns (with lids) from 5 to 7 p.m., and kayakers float them down the water in a lighted pumpkin flotilla at about 7:30 p.m. The park also has a DJ, a bounce house, the playground, food trucks and treat trails; costumes and festive gear are encouraged. Bring chairs and blankets. Pumpkins painted or decorated with glitter, markers, plastic or dye are not accepted, and pumpkins are not returned.
