About this adventure
An 1880s-style Christmas at Schaumburg's living-history Heritage Farm at Spring Valley. Families sample traditional holiday treats, children make old-fashioned crafts, everyone can toast marshmallows and warm up with hot drinks around a bonfire, and Father Christmas visits at Merkle Cabin. Most of the afternoon is outdoors around the farm's historic buildings, so dress for the weather. Admission is paid at the event (no advance registration); children 2 and under are free. Park at St. Matthew Church and follow the signs to the farm. Sponsored by the Spring Valley Nature Club.
