About this adventure
Lombard Park District's annual holiday lighting fills historic Lilacia Park with animated light shows, decorated trees, a giant gingerbread house and other displays from early December through the first weekend of January. Families can stroll the paths after dark; on scheduled nights youngsters can visit with Santa Claus and favorite holiday characters and watch a show with complimentary hot cocoa and cookies. The display runs from Sunday, Dec. 6 (4:30 p.m.) through Sunday, Jan. 3 (10 p.m.). A free-feeling, unhurried evening walk for all ages; dress for the cold.
