Local groups transform their cars into wacky, festive displays and hand out treats to costumed trick-or-treaters at Ridgeland Common on Friday, October 23, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The Park District of Oak Park pitches it as a safe, contained way to celebrate Halloween, and all ages are welcome, from strollers to big kids. Right after, the rink next door hosts Fright on Ice for families who want to keep the party going.
