About this adventure

Elmhurst Park District opens the holiday season with a countdown to light the community trees that ring Wilder Park, decorated by local families, businesses and groups. Festivities spread through the park and historic Wilder Mansion: children can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, see real reindeer, play holiday carnival games and watch festive performances. Food trucks (Smallcakes of Elmhurst, Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck and Waffle Hero) sell treats. Free to attend; it is a weekday evening outdoors in December, so bundle up. Parking is in Wilder Park's south lot and the Alexander Lot at Elmhurst University.
