Kenton County Public Library, Covington Parks & Recreation and the Cincinnati Observatory host a free star party at the Scenic Overlook in Devou Park on Saturday, December 12, from 6 to 8 pm. Observatory staff set up professional telescopes for the public to look through, there is a space-themed snack, and library staff show how to borrow a telescope with a library card. The event is outdoors after dark in December, so dress warmly. It suits school-age children, teens and families interested in astronomy.
