About this adventure
Columbus Children's Theatre's SandBox Series turns Ezra Jack Keats's picture book The Snowy Day into a 30-minute immersive show built for the youngest theatregoers and their grown-ups. Rather than sitting still, children follow snowy footprints, crunch through imaginary snow, make tracks and stretch into snow angels as storytelling, music, movement and games bring a snow-covered neighborhood to life. Before each performance families can try activity stations with snowflake crafts, snowy-day artwork and footprint matching games. CCT frames it as learning through play that supports early literacy, vocabulary, sequencing and observation. It suits toddlers and preschoolers; every child age 1 and older needs a ticket, and each child ticket must be paired with at least one adult ticket. Tickets can be self-transferred to another Snowy Day time if plans change.
