Lancaster rings in 2027 with the annual Glass Town Countdown in Zane Square, tagged family-friendly and free by the organizer. Families can warm up with hot chocolate, have their photo taken with the giant glass globe before it is lit and lifted at midnight, and watch a fireworks display by Jerry's Fireworks. The event runs 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., rain or shine; a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area operates for adults and a live feed will be offered for anyone watching from home.
