About this adventure
For two weeks from the end of November, Westerville Public Library sets up a display of electric model trains that visitors of all ages can watch running, some operated by hand and some through an app. Volunteer conductors from the Columbus Area N-Scalers club are often on hand to talk about the layouts, answer questions and show how the trains are controlled. The display is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day during the run, so families can drop in after school or on a weekend without registering. It is a good free holiday-season outing for preschoolers and school-age train fans, and pairs with Uptown Westerville's holiday events.
