A ranger-led evening walk around historic Penn Farm at Cedar Hill State Park, timed for Halloween. As the walk moves through the farm after dark, costumed characters portraying past Penn Farm residents step out to share the history of the people who once lived there. While the walk runs, the park and its community partners host a Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot, so children can come in costume and trick-or-treat between cars. The program runs from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Rangers suggest bringing water and a snack, wearing good walking shoes and dressing for the weather. The program itself is free; adults pay the standard $7 park entry fee unless they show a TPWD annual park pass, and children 12 and under enter the park free. No registration is mentioned on the park's event page.
