Fort Worth Botanic Garden's Homeschool STEM Studio asks young inventors aged 8–14 to solve real-world problems using everyday materials. They design and build prototype machines that address environmental challenges, practising engineering design and creative problem-solving. There are two sessions: Monday, December 7 (register by Thursday, December 3) and Monday, December 14, 2026 (register by Thursday, December 10), both from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Fees are $15 per participant ($12 for members) and $5 per accompanying adult (free for member adults). It's aimed at homeschool families, with a parent staying on site, and suits older primary and middle-school students who enjoy building and tinkering.
