About this adventure

Outlets at Castle Rock opens its holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting Celebration, a free evening concert, tree lighting and drone show at the outlet center. The program starts at 4 p.m. with live music: Colorado country artist Eric Golden and his band, and Spinphony, a string quartet that plays classical pieces alongside rock and pop songs. Santa arrives in a Bentley Denver car with an escort from the Castle Rock Fire Department and the Castle View Marching Band and Color Guard, then switches on the tree, which the center bills as Colorado's tallest Christmas tree. After the lighting, a holiday drone show fills the sky above the center. The evening is hosted by Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd, former Big Brother contestants. Families can bring a new, unwrapped toy for a toy drive benefiting Cancer Fighters to the Rescue and Children's Hospital Colorado. Beer and wine are sold for adults, with proceeds going to the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley. The event is listed by the Town of Castle Rock among its Season of the Star holiday activities.
