A separate Zoo Lights evening on December 31 planned for guests living with sensory processing disorders. Denver Zoo limits crowds, lowers the music volume and sets up quiet rooms, so children who find the regular light nights overwhelming can still walk the holiday light displays with their families. Sensory kits are available on request. The evening runs 5:00–9:00 p.m. and needs its own ticket; prices are slightly below regular Zoo Lights peak nights, with member discounts. A good fit for neurodivergent kids and their siblings who want an early, calmer New Year's Eve outing.
