About this adventure
On Halloween night Blake's Big Apple in Armada turns its haunted attractions into a costume party. The draw for families is the costume contest, judged in four categories: Best Children's Costume (12 and under), Best Group Costume, Best Couple's Costume and Scariest Costume. Blake's sets family-friendly costume rules: no masks or face coverings, no weapons or weapon-like props, nothing excessively gory and no oversized pieces that block walkways. There is no separate ticket for the bash itself; guests buy an individual or package ticket for the October 31 night through Blake's Haunted Attractions page, which covers attractions such as the haunted hayride, zombie paintball, the three-story haunted barn and Spookyland. The haunted barn and paintball are aimed at older kids and teens, while Spookyland and the costume contest suit younger trick-or-treaters with a grown-up.
