Monthly all-ages open houses at the Lost Lake Nature Park nature center in Oakland Township, presented by Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve and sponsored by the Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commission. For 2026 the park becomes a different habitat each month; each open house includes a craft, outside games, and indoor models and biofacts, and every visitor gets a passport booklet to stamp at each open house (show it at the December open house for a prize). Upcoming dates: Saturday Nov. 14, 2026 (Rainforests II), Saturday Dec. 12, 2026 (Arctic A-L) and Saturday Jan. 9, 2027 (Arctic M-Z), noon-3 p.m. No registration required.
