La Porte kicks off the holidays with Christmas on Main at Five Points Town Plaza on Thursday, December 3, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m. A free Kid's Zone has ice slides, trackless train rides, face painting and live reindeer. The city lights its official Christmas tree, Santa poses for free professional photos, more than 100 vendors fill a holiday market with gifts, food and seasonal items, and La Porte ISD students perform on stage. Admission is free. The city calendar lists the event across December 3–4 but the description gives the Thursday 5–9 p.m. celebration.
