Conroe begins its holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Heritage Place in downtown Conroe on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The short half-hour ceremony is easy to fit into a school night, even with young children, and it kicks off the city's 'Christmas in Conroe' events ahead of the larger Toby Powell Christmas Celebration on December 12 at the same plaza. Gather with neighbors, watch the tree light up and enjoy an evening stroll through the downtown square afterward. Call the city's Parks and Recreation office for details.
