The City of Tomball's annual Deck the Depot Tree Lighting takes place at Tomball Depot Plaza on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. Santa and his crew are on hand for photos, free hot chocolate and treats are served while supplies last, and local performers and holiday music fill the plaza. Later in the evening the mayor lights the Christmas tree, and the city adds its first 'snow' of the season, a highlight for small children. Admission and parking are free. Bundle up, bring a camera for Santa, and expect the plaza to be busy right before the lighting. Questions go to the city marketing office at (281) 290-1035.
