About this adventure
The Katy YMCA's 24th annual Thanksgiving-morning race offers something for every age: a timed 10K and 5K, a 1-mile kids' race for ages 3–12 and a 1-mile family run/walk that parents can do together with younger children. After the races, the Turkey Tailgate has a Kids Zone, local vendors and interactive booths, and awards are given out at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds support the YMCA's swim lessons and wellness programs. It is an easy way to start Thanksgiving Day with kids before the family meal; register in advance online through RunSignup.
