About this adventure
A Thanksgiving-morning charity race in Kingwood that many local families treat as a yearly tradition. Children ages 3 to 12 run the Kids Wishbone 1K first, at 8 AM, and the 5K follows at 8:30 from the same start, so parents can cheer the kids in and then run or walk the longer course themselves. All proceeds go to Addi's Faith Foundation, which funds pediatric cancer research and helps families caring for a child with cancer. Register early: people who sign up after November 1 are not guaranteed a t-shirt, bib or medal. Every bib has a tear-off tab at the bottom that each runner must hand in at the finish-line table to collect a medal, so keep it attached. A virtual option, with a shirt mailed after the event, is available for families who will be away.
