About this adventure
The Houston area's original Turkey Trot (41st year) runs through the Sugar Creek neighborhood on Thanksgiving morning: a kids' 1-mile run for ages 1–12 at 7:30 am, a timed 5-mile race at 8:00 am and a non-competitive 2.8-mile family walk/jog at 8:30 am (strollers welcome on the kids' mile and walk). There is a costume contest and canned-food drive; online registration closes Nov 25 at 5 pm with no race-day sign-up.
