Children's Museum Houston spends Halloween, Saturday October 31, 2026, on Monster Mayhem, with extended hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Children trick-or-treat at five candy stations around the museum all day. Frankenstein appears on stilts for photos from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., monster storytimes with mask-making run at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and a Design Studio workshop lets kids sew a silly monster stuffy (12 at a time, recommended ages 3+) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Science Station offers thermoplastic monsters that show reversible physical change and a bubble-science table. In the evening, DJ Beetlejuice and face painters take over from 4 to 8 p.m. Included with general admission.
