About this adventure
Chemistry Day fills the Sunburst Atrium with hands-on chemistry activities and demonstrations led by specialists from local companies and university groups, including MilliporeSigma, Corteva Agriscience, Waters Corporation, student chemistry societies from Ball State, IU Indianapolis, Marian, Taylor and Indiana University, the University of Indianapolis Human Identification Center and Eli Lilly visiting scientist Dr. Ann Taylor. Children move from table to table trying experiments, and the stage show Chemistry is a Blast! plays at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Lilly Theater. Activities wrap up at 3 p.m. The day is included with museum admission and suits all ages, though school-age kids will get the most from the experiments.
