Missouri Town Living History Museum, Jackson County's collection of historic buildings at Fleming Park, celebrates Christmas the way rural Missourians did in the mid-1800s. This year's theme looks at clothing, a common Christmas gift in the Victorian period, and how it was made or bought. Throughout the day visitors find holiday crafts, period decorations, historic demonstrations and traditions presented by costumed interpreters across the village. It is a walk-around outdoor and indoor event that suits school-age children interested in history; wear shoes for gravel paths. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for youth and seniors, and Pogo Pass is accepted.
