De Soto turns the forest trail at Riverfest Park into a family Halloween experience for one evening. Children walk a trick-or-treat trail through the woods with treat stations along the way, and the event adds face painting, free hamburgers and hot dogs, games, bounce houses, crafts, a pumpkin patch and a fall-themed selfie station. It is free and runs from 4 to 6 p.m., early enough for toddlers and preschoolers; wear costumes and shoes suited to a dirt trail.
