About this adventure

An after-hours evening for scouts at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center and the Johnson County Museum in Overland Park. Children ages 6 to 12 work in groups through a series of activities that reveal clues to find 'missing' museum artifacts: a flashlight scavenger hunt through the history galleries, a project in the art studio, time in KidScape (the museum's hands-on play area), some movement in the dance studio, and a snack. Every scout goes home with an exclusive museum patch. The night is open to Girl Scouts, Scouts BSA, 4-H, Camp Fire and similar youth organizations; leaders and parents register alongside the children, and troops or families sign up as one group, giving troop information when booking. A good fit for a troop looking for a badge-friendly outing, or a scout family that wants a museum night together.
