About this adventure

A Saturday workshop at George Owens Nature Park teaches a low-effort way to start native plants in winter so they are ready by spring. Independence Parks and Recreation offers it with MU Extension Master Gardeners and MDC Master Naturalists. The fee is $12 per person. Kids ages 10 and older may come with an adult. Registration is required by January 3. This record is only Session 1, on January 16, 2027 at 11:30 am. A second session is listed on the city calendar for the next day and was not opened as its own page, so it is not folded into these dates. The page says instructions are step by step and that the class suits people who think they have a black thumb.
