About this adventure

Session 2 of Winter Sowing Native Seeds is the Sunday afternoon repeat of the park's winter seed workshop, on January 17, 2027, at 1:30 pm at George Owens Nature Park. Independence Parks and Recreation, with MU Extension Master Gardeners and MDC Master Naturalists, walks through a low-cost way to start native plants so they are growing by spring. The fee is $12 per person. Kids ages 10 and older can come with an adult. Registration is required by January 3. The page does not give a signup link or an end time. This is a separate session from the Saturday morning workshop, with its own start time. Meet at the nature park on Speck Road and plan to be outdoors for at least part of the session, which the city tags as Outdoor.
