About this adventure

A Sunday-afternoon celebration of Día de los Muertos at DISCOVERY Children's Museum, built around crafts children make and take home. Families can put together skeleton puppets, create colorful alebrijes inspired by Oaxacan folk sculpture, cut papel picado banners, fold paper marigolds and learn about the monarch butterfly's long migration. A Día de los Muertos book nook offers themed picture books for a quieter break. The museum frames it as a way to talk about family, memory and culture together, and it runs for the whole afternoon, so families can come and go. Activities are included with regular museum admission.
