About this adventure

American Ballet Theatre brings Alexei Ratmansky's production of The Nutcracker back to Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa for its 11th season there, with 18 performances between December 10 and Christmas Eve. The ballet follows Clara, who is given a nutcracker doll at her family's Christmas party and, in her dream that night, travels with the doll-turned-prince through lands of dancing snowflakes and sweets. Principal casts rotate by performance, and the center publishes the casting for each date. Weekend matinees start at 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., with a noon show on December 24; evening shows start at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $39, and the center notes that early-bird prices go up on Thanksgiving Day.
