About this adventure
The California Science Center in Exposition Park is one of the region's biggest free family outings: its core exhibit galleries are free and need no reservation. The galleries are hands-on and suit preschoolers through teens. Timed tickets are required, and sold separately, for the IMAX Theater. Note that the Space Shuttle Endeavour is currently off display until the future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center opens. The galleries are open daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Parking in Exposition Park can fill during park events, so arrive early or take the Metro E (Expo) Line to Expo Park/USC station across the street. Groups of 20 or more must reserve by phone.
