About this adventure

Every Friday from noon to 1:30 p.m., the Skirball Cultural Center opens its Noah's Ark gallery — a hands-on, play-based exhibition of handmade animals and climbable structures — in a version designed for guests with autism spectrum disorders, sensory-processing differences and other developmental disabilities. Expect fewer visitors, quieter galleries, and relaxed music and story times. Noise-dampening headphones, sensory bags and lanterns for low-light sensitivity can be borrowed. Admission for the 90-minute slot is $15–20 depending on the ticket and includes general admission; members and children under 2 are free. Reservations are recommended. The program is not offered on November 20 and 27 or December 4, 11, 18 and 25, so the late-fall dates are October 30 and November 6 and 13, resuming in January.
