Bryant Park becomes a family Halloween evening where local vehicles line up with decorated, open trunks so children in costume can trick-or-treat safely. It is free, costumes are encouraged, and the winners of the city's Halloween Yard Decorating Contest are announced during the event. Lakeside setting and an early start make it suitable for little ones. Families who want to hand out candy from their own car can apply through the city's Special Events team.
