About this adventure
The brightly lit Canadian Pacific Holiday Train makes its annual stop at the Harwood Avenue railroad crossing in the Wauwatosa Village, near the Little Red Store, to raise money and food for the Tosa Cares food pantry. The train pulls in around 4 p.m.; a short show follows with live music performed from the train's stage car and an appearance by Santa, and the train leaves again at about 4:45 p.m. Snacks and drinks are sold on State Street from 3:30 p.m. Train-loving toddlers and preschoolers enjoy seeing the decorated locomotive and cars up close, and the whole event is short enough for little ones. Times depend on when the train actually arrives, so plan for some waiting outdoors and dress warmly. Admission is free; organizers ask everyone to bring a food donation, which volunteers collect at several intersections around the Village. Parking is available at Hart Park, with a footbridge east of the tennis courts leading to the crossing.
