About this adventure
Winter-break art making for kids at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Two special Saturday Play Dates with Art run 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with sing-alongs at 11 and noon: on December 19 kids build a collection of miniature 'funky furniture' inspired by the exhibition The Shakers: A World in the Making, and on January 2 they explore mark-making inspired by bold works in the modern galleries. On December 30 and January 2 and 3 the Art Studio opens special hours (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) to paint and craft a mixed-media Mariposa butterfly, with studio artist Isa Castro on hand 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All ages and abilities welcome.
