About this adventure

An hour-long, audience-participation play for the youngest theatergoers on CTC's smaller Cargill Stage. Young Yeila dreams of being a superstar but stage fright keeps getting in her way; visiting her grandmother in Cuba, she adds a salsa spark to her hip-hop style and learns about her roots. One actress, Paige Hernandez (who also wrote and choreographed the piece), plays three generations of women, with original music by Nick "Nick tha 1da" Hernandez and Kris Funn. The show is filled with music, movement and chances for children to dance along. CTC says it is best enjoyed by ages 2-6 and runs one hour with no intermission; lap passes for children 3 and younger are $5. One performance is listed as ASL-interpreted and audio described. CTC publishes an audience guide covering themes, sensory elements and suspenseful moments.
