The 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade marches a 2.5-mile route on Thanksgiving morning, arriving at Macy's Herald Square flagship store. Public viewing is available along designated portions of the route and is managed by the NYPD. The FAQ page says the featured character balloons are prepared on Wednesday, November 25 on Manhattan's Upper West Side and that details on public access to balloon inflation will come later.
