Van Cortlandt Park Alliance, Van Cortlandt House Museum and the Urban Park Rangers host a free afternoon of creepy crafts, face painting and spine-chilling stories on the lawn of the Van Cortlandt House Museum. A Pup Parade and Canine Costume Contest starts at 3 PM (day-of dog registration 2–2:45 PM), and the Urban Park Rangers lead a Nocturnal Creatures and Wildlife Hike leaving the Nature Center at 6 PM and returning at 7:30 PM.
