The Two Towns Turkey Trot, organized by the Seth Boyden Elementary PTA, brings Maplewood and South Orange families together in South Mountain Reservation the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The 5K starts at 10:00 a.m. on the Lollipop Loop along Crest Drive, near the Wildflower Sculpture Park and dog run. At 11:00 a.m. children take over for the Kids Fun Run, roughly a quarter mile, short enough for preschoolers. The kids' run is inexpensive, and adult entries cost a little more on race day. Money raised supports programs at Seth Boyden School, and questions can go to the PTA's race email.
