- Veritas Christian Academy
Veritas Christian Academy hosts this post-Thanksgiving race at the Sussex County Fairgrounds on the Saturday after the holiday. It is laid out with young children in mind: a free 100-yard dash for kids 5 and under kicks things off at 8:25 a.m., a Kids 1K for ages 5 and up follows at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K starts at 9:00 a.m. Having all three starts within 35 minutes keeps the morning short for families. The dash costs nothing, so even the youngest siblings can earn a finish, and the 1K and 5K fees are modest.
