Stew Leonard's in Farmingdale opens its holiday season on Thursday, December 3, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., when Santa Claus arrives atop a fire truck from the East Farmingdale Fire Department to kick off the store's annual Christmas Tree Lighting. The Woodward Parkway Elementary School chorus performs, families can take photos with Santa, and complimentary refreshments are served by Wow the Cow, the store's mascot, and Stew Leonard's team members. The event is free and no registration is mentioned, making it an easy after-school stop. It also starts the store's weekend run of free Santa photos and its December brunch with Santa.
