Historic Richmond Town's free annual tree lighting returns to Staten Island's living-history village. The evening opens with musical performances by local groups and a greeting from Santa Claus, and the tree is lit at 6 p.m. Hot drinks and festive sweets are sold on site. Free to all, with no ticket needed; a good short outing for families with young children the night before the village's Christmas weekend.
