Children's Museum of Manhattan

A musical theatre piece built on Woody Guthrie's songs for children, performed at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. Four-year-old Cathy Ann Guthrie is curious about the world but nervous to leave home, until her parents take her on a cross-country road trip that retraces Woody Guthrie's travels from California to 'the New York Island'. The audience rides along through interactive play, storytelling and live engagement, singing classics such as 'Riding In My Car', 'Howdi Do' and 'This Land Is Your Land'. The show is inspired by an unpublished manuscript. It plays in the Inside Art space on the morning of Saturday, November 7, starting at 10:30 am. The Children's Museum of Manhattan is designed for children ages 0–6; the program is included with museum admission (members free).
