About this adventure

The East Branch library in Oviedo closes out the county's Extreme Gingerbread Challenge series on Monday, December 21. Children aged 8 to 12 build an original candy structure from graham crackers, icing and a table of sweets during a 90-minute evening session — the brief is to go beyond the ordinary gingerbread house. Staff judge the builds, and the most creative entry at the branch wins the pick of a brand-new book. All materials are provided and there is no fee, but space is limited and registration is required, opening December 7.
