About this adventure

Seminole County Public Library's Extreme Gingerbread Challenge for tweens comes to the Northwest Branch in Lake Mary on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Instead of a standard gingerbread house, kids aged 8 to 12 design and build their own sweet structure from graham crackers, icing and a spread of candy, and library staff judge the results at the end of the 90-minute session. The most creative builder at the branch picks a brand-new book to keep. Everything is supplied, so children only need to bring ideas; the program is free but limited in size, so parents need to register their child once sign-ups open two weeks before the event.
