Backyard Club is the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science's seasonal outdoor program for families, an hour of hands-on exploration on the museum grounds: hiking the nature trail, catching and identifying insects or investigating freshwater life. The last Backyard Club of 2026, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, looks at color in nature, from falling leaves to brightly colored creatures and possibly a fungus or two. There are two identical sessions, at 11 am and 2:30 pm. The program is free with general admission or membership, so it fits easily into a museum visit; dress for being outside on the trail.
