For the 2026 holiday season the West Chester Railroad runs its Christmas Tree Train with Wiggins Tree Farm in West Chester. The train leaves Market Street Station promptly at 8 am, with coffee, hot chocolate and fresh donuts available from the snack bar on board. At the farm, families get off to choose and cut their own Christmas tree with hand saws provided; the tree is banded, tagged and loaded onto the train's flat car, and everyone rides back to West Chester, where the tree is unloaded for pick-up and staff help load it onto your car. The tree is not included in the ticket: Wiggins charges $90 per tree for ticket holders, cash or check only. Santa is not on this train. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
