About this adventure
During Holidays in Franklin Square, Santa comes to the square on five evenings in late November and December for photos with families. Children can tell him their wishes and pose for pictures against the square's holiday lights, then stay for the free Electrical Spectacle Light Show, which plays every half hour in the evening. Visits run 5 to 7 pm on Friday and Saturday November 27 and 28 and on the Saturdays December 5, 12 and 19. It is an easy, drop-in way to see Santa in Old City, with the carousel, holiday mini golf and SquareBurger nearby for families who want to make an evening of it. Historic Philadelphia's page does not list a fee for the Santa visits themselves.
