About this adventure
The Tinicum Players close their living-history season with a St. Nicholas Day celebration at the Erwin Stover House, the 1800s farmhouse in Bucks County's Tinicum Park along the Delaware River. Costumed interpreters dress the house in Victorian holiday decorations and the clothing of the 1860s. Children can listen to stories of St. Nicholas, make an ornament and sing old-time carols, and families can watch gingerbread being made and learn the history of the springerle, the molded German Christmas cookie. It is a drop-in afternoon from noon to 4 pm that suits school-age children curious about how families celebrated 160 years ago. The listing does not mention a fee.
