About this adventure
The Butterfly Wonderland Foundation's yearly bug festival takes over the Arizona Boardwalk courtyard, this time with a Halloween theme. Children can watch cockroach races and butterfly releases, see live reptiles, pose in a 'hissing booth', and work through interactive bug-zoo learning stations and scavenger hunts. Brave eaters can try edible insect treats. There are also crafts, music, games, character appearances and prizes, and kids who come in costume are entered into a prize drawing. A good outing for curious preschoolers and elementary kids who like creepy-crawlies; Butterfly Wonderland's conservatory next door is a separate paid ticket.
